    Aarau 20th - 25th June 2023

    Facilitating a five-day program accompanying the cirqu'Aarau festival: The program aims to contribute to the qualification of Swiss circus artists in the areas of dissemination and internationalisation.

    The program is intended to deepen the understanding of the structures and requirements of the international cultural sector, to contribute to the expansion of professional networks and project visibility internationally and to help participants gain more assurance in matters of dissemination.

  • Wicklow Artist Award Scheme

    Wicklow County Arts Office Arts Act Funding Clinics 1st February 2023

    Ali joined fellow artist Shane Finan during this funding clinic to discuss funding systems from the Wicklow Arts Office and share their experience. The pair speak with the participants about writing successful funding applications and gave tips ahead of this year’s deadline.

  • Arts Council Ireland Peer Panel 2021-2026

    Ali has been appointed to the Arts Council of Ireland Artist Peer Panel for a five year period. This nomination follows a successful relationship with the Arts Council since 2019.

  • STRP Festival: Being Emotional #8

    STRP Festival Eindhoven 2020

    In April 2020 Ali spoke at the Art and Technology festival in Eindhoven, the Netherlands during the lecture series Being Emotional. She spoke on the subject of loneliness and the associated risks and the impact of art as a prescription. During this period she also led a community project for the festival before the performance was cancelled due to COVID-19.

    Ali joined presenter Dave Morrissey in his regular show Friday Night Live to speak about her work as a choreographer with a focus on audience engagement and participation as part of the creative process and performance. Ali speaks to Dave about her career so far and what is coming in 2021 and beyond. She speaks about her previous choreographies and projects until this point.

  • Jacques de Leeuw 2019

    Jacques de Leeuw Award 2019 Nomination

    In 2019 Ali was nominated for the competitive Jacques de Leeuw award at Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. She was nominated in the category of dance performance. This nomination awarded Ali a stipend towards a new creation as she graduated from her Bachelor Studies.
