Ali Clarke is a multidisciplinary artist whose work moves between dance, socially engaged practice, circus and theatre to examine how power, identity and embodied knowledge shape collective life. Rooted in movement and expanded through collaborative making, her practice is informed by decolonial thought and a commitment to social justice. Across projects, Ali explores how art can operate as a site of resistance, shared memory and social transformation, an ongoing effort to decentralise dominant cultural narratives and imagine alternative futures through relational, co-created processes.

Ali is currently Artist in Residence at Art House Athy through the Connect and Gather Award from Creative Places Athy, and works closely with Creative Places Bagenalstown and Baltinglass. Her choreographic and interdisciplinary work has been presented across Europe, Mexico and Brazil, often emerging from long-term collaborations with communities, musicians and performers.

Alongside her artistic practice, Ali is an experienced socially engaged cultural producer. She leads the Creative Ireland Programme for Dublin City, and collaborates with socially engaged programmes across the country as a project manager, cultural producer and evaluator.

Ali’s work has been recognised with numerous awards, including the Arts Council of Ireland Next Generation Award (2022), the Chassé Theater Culture Funds Award (2019) and the Café Theater Festival Jury Award (2018).
