Work Under Construction
Unseen
Unseen is a work-in-progress production by Musici Ireland exploring the lived experience of unseen disability. The work is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and is due to premiere in May 2025 at the Mermaid Arts Centre.
A diverse cast of musicians, dancers and actors are working under the direction of Katie O’Hallorhan and Beth McNinch to shine light on the lived experiences of this group of people.

What Is Not Ours To Carry
What Is Not Ours To Carry is an immersive, multi-disciplinary production which premiered in September 2023. With set design by Emma Fisher, lighting by Zia Bergin-Holly and music by Ruben Monteiro. The work was supported by the Mermaid Arts Centre.
Touring of this work is planned for 2026.

Deeds Not Words
Deeds Not Words is a screen dance work made in collaboration with violist Beth McNinch. Set to music composed by Libby Croad and commissioned by McNinch the sonata reflects stories of the suffragette movement of the 20th Century.

Commissioned by the Courthouse Arts Centre in 2022, Multitudes: Vessel is a walk-through immersive performance blending dance, aerial circus and theatre for a unique adventure exploring humanity through the lens of the kitchen.

Multitudes: Future Nostalgia
First presented at the Dancer From The Dancer festival of Irish choreography this solo dives into what it means to move forward with life leaving behind memories sweet and sour and forging our own paths. The solo was also part of the IYDF 2022 program and Dance Limerick’s 2023 What Next Festival.

Multitudes: I Do This All The Time is a part of the Multitudes series which was created as a part of process with students of the professional dance course Performact in 2022. The work was presented in Portugal in July 2022.

When I Look At You I Am Drawing A Map
Over the course of 3 months during 2020 and 2021 this work was created for students of the professional dance course Performact in Portugal. It searches for the connection between identity and language asking us to question the power of the words we choose.

Internal Jogging
Internal Jogging in an interactive dance and circus performance which examines what it means to be a community and work together. Created in 2019 with co-production of Chasse Theater Bread and Podium Bloos the work premiered in Chasse Theater in January 2020.

Moving To Make The Minutes Right
This contemporary dance duet was created through Zoom across 3 countries for Theaterfestival Boulevard during the lockdowns of 2020. Created to reflect the need for physical touch in a difficult time this piece was performed on the cafe terraces of Den Bosch, NL.

Be3Mension
This work was created in response to the first lockdowns of 2020. In an effort to continue developing interactive performances Ali collaborated with Quarantine Art, an interactive streaming platform. With multiple live streams Ali developed a style of live streamed performances.

The Sensitive Future 2.0.0
The Sensitive Future 2.0.0 is a contemporary circus performance created as a result of the Cafe Theatre Festival Research Prize awarded to KNOT Kollektiv in 2020. The work was created with intelligent juggling balls and combines contemporary dance, hand-balancing and juggling.

It Didn't Start With Us
It Didn’t Start With Us was created in 2017 and went on to win the Cafe Theater Festival Jury Prize for Youth Audiences in 2018. This interactive acrobatic dance duet toured the Netherlands, Germany and Portugal with over 300 performances in total and thousands of balloons.

The Others Are Hell, also
Created for Nacht Van De Kunsten (Night of the Arts) 2017 in Tilburg, NL. The Others Are Hell, also takes Albert Camus´ philosophical teachings into a 3 dimensional space of tension and release between four performers of dance and circus exploring the interface between the two disciplines. Together with Crispin Bade, Julian Vogel, Lucas Devroe and Ali Clarke.\
